Is something not working, or do you have a question? You'll find the answers to the most common questions below. If yours isn't there, write to [email protected]; tell us which device and browser you use and what happened, and we can help you faster.
How do we play?
Press Play in the browser on this site: the game opens on the Ata7 Games website and can be played on a phone, a tablet or a computer. On a phone, turn it sideways; the Full screen button spreads the game over the whole screen.
Every word in the game is spoken, so children who can't read yet can play too. Remember to turn the sound up, and on an iPhone make sure the silent switch on the side is off.
Turkish or English?
The game starts in Turkish. When this site is set to EN, its Play in the browser button opens the game in English. The Türkçe | English switch on the Ata7 Games website does the same, and your choice is remembered on the device.
Why are some chapters locked?
The first time, the story is played in order: a chapter opens once the chapters before it are finished. Each game in the Games room opens when the story reaches that moment. The colouring studio is always open.
The parent's key: on the Journeys screen, press and hold the Cappadocia card for 3 seconds until it lights up, then let go and answer the times-table question it asks. Every chapter, game and documentary then opens on this device. Do the same again to lock them back.
Where is the progress kept?
Progress is kept only on the device and in the browser you play on. It doesn't move to another device, and clearing the site's data in the browser deletes it too.
To start over: add ?reset=1 to the end of the game's address and press OK when it asks. The progress is deleted, but the kilims, colourings and pots stay.
Is there an app?
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps are on their way. Like the browser game, they will be free and have no ads. Until then, you can play the whole game in the browser.
